The use of a drone is recommended when an area of the building might not be able to be accessed due to height restriction >3.6m from the ground.

A drone can assist to detect defects that are inaccessible due to height restriction and eliminates the potential fall risk of the inspector. Photos and videos can be taken and supplied to other trades eg. if solar panels were installed and they were to be
inspected by electrician.
